About Engage

Engage exists to provide perspective on culture through the eyes of a Biblical worldview, showing how that worldview intersects with culture and engages it.

We are a team of 20-somethings brought together by a common faith in Jesus Christ and employment in our parent organization American Family Association.

Teddy James

Writer For Engage

When Teddy James was in first grade, he told his parents and teachers he would be a writer one day. He read so much that, instead of being grounded from television or video games, he was grounded from books. They were his obsession until he met Jesus Christ at age 16. Since then, he has been obsessed with the person of God and using the tool of writing to glorify Him. He is currently writing his first novel, but has been on chapter three for four years.

Teddy came to American Family Association in 2009 to write for the AFA Journal. Later that year, he married his college sweetheart. They now have three children, a dog, and are considering getting a brood of chickens.
