He Is Alive
Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior – yes, the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! (Luke 2:9-11 NLT).
Jesus is as alive today as He was on the day of His birth. He is on His throne in heaven, waiting for just the right time to return.
Lord God, thank you for sending Jesus to save us from ourselves! We love you Lord and praise your holy name. Amen.

Simple Question
For nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37 NLT).
Do you believe that nothing is impossible with God?
When we really get down to the roots of our faith, we have to ask God to show us our shortcomings in faith and in life and in our walk with Him.
We all go through trials and valleys in our lives. Does it take those bad and tough times to draw us closer to God?
We must also remember what we should do during the good times. We should praise Him and ask Him to show us our failings and shortcomings plus how we can better serve Him.
God is awesome, and He has a perfect plan for our lives. We must remember His plan may differ from our plan and we must be open to His direction for our lives.
Thanks be to God.
Dear Father, thank you for your limitless mercy, grace, and love. Amen.
Wednesday
Prophecy Fulfilled
“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote: ‘And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah, are not least among the ruling cities of Judah, for a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel,’” (Matthew 2:5-6 NLT).
A Savior has come. He came for the world. Make Him your Savior. It's your choice, a choice with eternal consequences.
Thank you, Lord, Amen!

God Came - Let the Celebration Begin!
Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others – the armies of heaven – praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased” (Luke 2:13-14 NLT).
God came into the world not as a ruler but as a baby. He came for His ultimate plan to save us from ourselves.
Thank you, Lord for your rescue mission to save the world. Amen and amen.
Friday
Just As We Are Told
The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them (Luke 2:20 NLT).
God's word and truth are perfect. What God tells us in the Bible is true, and you can put your total trust in that fact.
All was just as the angel told the shepherds when they went to Bethlehem. We too can put our faith and trust in the Word. It is as He says.
Thanks be to God, amen.
Saturday
Where Are You Standing?
Now I stand on solid ground, and I will publicly praise the LORD (Psalms 26:12 NLT).
Are you standing on solid ground? Have you made your camp on the Rock? Everyone has a choice. Will you choose God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, or the way of the world? Please choose wisely. Your decision has eternal consequences.
Lord God, help those who are living outside of your plan see the error of their ways. Open their eyes that they might see your way is best for them and for all those around them. A heart that is changed in one person affects many others. When we accept your son and His plan, we bring other lives into an area of solid ground, your solid ground, Lord. Lead us today, Lord, in Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen.
Sunday
We Can Never Understand, This Side of Heaven
All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him (2 Samuel 14:14 NLT).
I have lost a lot of good friends and family members during this past year. It really hurts to lose them, but I can rest in the comfort of knowing that they all professed a relationship with Jesus. We will be together again one day.
God's plan is not to destroy us but to prosper us. He always has a plan to bring us into or "back" into His presence. As humans, we can't comprehend the love, mercy, and grace this requires. What we can be sure of is that He has devised a way for us to come to Him, we must choose whether we want a relationship with Him through Jesus or not.
Father, bring us to the realization that you want each of us in your kingdom. Bring us to the knowledge of your love, mercy, and grace. I ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
